Take advantage of two days to enjoy a relaxing interlude in a beautiful resort bordered by its turquoise lagoon. This programme will be a pleasant conclusion to your cruise.
Day 1 – Papeete
In the morning, you may stay on-board and enjoy the ship facilities. Please note that check-out of your cabin is after breakfast.
Lunch on-board.
After disembarkation procedures are completed, you will be greeted at the port by a local representative.
You will depart the pier by coach to explore the natural beauties of Papeete.
You will proceed first to Venus Point at Matavai Bay. A Victorian-era lighthouse and monument commemorate the passage of Captain James Cook who came to observe the transit of Venus in 1769 as part of his work for the Royal Society.
Then proceed to the Taharaa lookout known as One Tree Hill. It offers panoramic views over the island. You will join the market of Papeete. You will have free time to stroll between the stalls and do some shopping. Your sightseeing tour will end at the hotel Intercontinental Resort Tahiti 4*.
Upon arrival, you will complete the check-in formalities for your room.
Dinner is on your own.
Day 2 – Papeete
Breakfast at the hotel.
For your day at leisure, the hotel Intercontinental Resort Tahiti offers all comfort to relax in your room, by its two freshwater swimming pools or its exotic gardens.
Your room will be available until 7.00p.m.
Lunch and dinner are on your own.
In the late afternoon, you will be transferred to the International airport of Fa’a in time for check-in for the PAUL GAUGUIN Cruises selected flight.

Located by a blue lagoon, the hotel Intercontinental Resort Tahiti is the ideal base to combine relaxation and discovery of Papeete. You will have access to all the infrastructures of the hotel: the two freshwater swimming pools, the overwater restaurant, as well as the Spa and the diving Center, both available on a supplement basis. The Polynesian-style rooms offer a private balcony overviewing the lagoon.
